Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working on TV and in films is most well-known for her roles in films such as Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was 16she already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also Oscar-nominated. Alexandra's professional career has included work on a number of notable international and national projects. This includes the British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She also remained member of the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
