Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director who is famous for his role as the lead of Birdman. An actor with a variety of talents, he's skilled in playing comedy as well as dramatic parts. In addition to playing the roles of a romantic, he has also played in action films as well as thrillers. He developed an interest in performing and acting when at the age of teen and tried his luck at stand-up comedy when he was a young man. His comedy career wasn't a success, however it paved the way for the path to a career in acting. Unable to find success as a comedian he took on a position as a television cameraman in a cable channel. He realized his real interest was front of the camera while he worked at the station. A television role was secured and he appeared on several episodes Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was a natural actor and became popular quickly on television. His comedic performances made him famous and he embarked upon the career of a filmmaker who had high hopes. The actor gained further recognition by playing the titular superhero from Tim Burton's Batman. As an actor, he grew over time and ventured into the direction and production realms. The 2014 Birdman film garnered him numerous nominations and awards.
